With a few exceptions the warm waters of the gulfstream, the natural and artificial reefs off Miami, Miami Beach, Key Biscayne and the upper Florida Keys have little competition when it comes to fishing. Fishing Miami, Miami Beach and Key Biscayne can result in a good catch of dozens of species of fish throughout the year. The seasonal migrations of Sailfish, Tarpon, Dolphin, Kingfish and tuna provide a better than average chance at multiple species hookups.
Our trip will usually start with a quick trip to pick-up bait. A few throws of the cast net or drops with the sabiki's, with a live bait well full of pilchards, herring or goggle eyes and we are off the fishing grounds. Bait can also be purchased at an additinal charge, which can vary.
From early winter through late spring, you can find Sailfish, Kingfish and Tarpon just a short ride from the marina at Crandon Park. If the weather isn't cooperative, there is always Biscayne Bay, which offer plenty of inshore snapper and grouper action. Snook and Trout are always a possibility. The beaches, inlets and bridges around Miami and Key Biscayne may hold the best fishery of all. Tarpon can be found year round but late December to late June is the best time of year.
Miami offers a unique charter fishing opportunity, We can run offshore and troll for dolphin and find tuna and wahoo. Fly a kite along the blue/green edge with suspended live baits for that exciting strike from a Sailfish or a skyrocketing Kingfish, where you can also find a meandering Dolphin or Blackfin Tuna. Anchor up on one of Miami or Key Biscayne's numerous artificial or natural reefs for Amber Jack, Mutton Snapper and grouper. ![]() |
